Snoring happens when the soft tissue at the back of your throat relaxes and partially blocks your airway. QuietFit is a mandibular advancement device (MAD) — it holds your lower jaw gently forward while you sleep, which helps keep the airway open. It moulds to your teeth and adjusts in 1 mm increments so you can find the minimum advancement that helps.

QuietFit is designed to help reduce snoring caused by a narrowed airway — for people who snore, and for the partners who share a bed with them. It works for both mouth-breathers and nose-breathers. It is not intended to diagnose or treat sleep apnea (see the safety question below).

For the first few nights your jaw may feel a little stiff after you take QuietFit out. That’s your jaw getting used to resting slightly forward. Starting conservatively and adjusting gradually helps make the transition easier.

Possibly, especially during the first few nights. Your mouth can make extra saliva when there’s something new in it. For many people this settles as they get used to wearing the mouthpiece.

QuietFit does not seal your lips shut, so you can still open your mouth and breathe through it if needed.

It can happen. Follow the fitting instructions carefully and avoid rushing the moulding process. The 2-pack also gives you a second mouthpiece as a spare.

Start on the lowest adjustment setting. If you’re still snoring after a few nights, move it forward 1 mm. Adjust gradually, not all at once, and let your partner’s feedback guide you. Most people find their setting in the first two weeks.

Rinse the mouthpiece after use and clean it regularly with the included cleaning brush when your bundle includes one. Let it dry fully before storing it in its case.
